Tight shoulders, hamstrings or hips can prevent even the most seasoned student from experiencing comfort and ease while doing yoga or even moving through the world. By reducing muscular effort and encouraging proper alignment, effective use of yoga props—blocks, blankets, bolsters, straps and even chairs—helps everyone to feel successful and enjoy the full benefits their practice.
